Sorry. I will delete if need be....

I like the drawing... a church with a coffee bar is a GOOD thing... and yes it's a wheelchair and no Love and Truth does not lead to murder!!
No, I wasn't talking about you. Your post about the murder was really funny!! I was just talking about those who automatically jump on the judgment seat based solely on my picture. Happens alot on here.

NO p.b. sales here!!! My hubby hates fund raisers like that. God will supply the money through His people; I have to believe that. He's always done it before.

Thank God - because the Lord knows I meant no offense.

You know the earlier discussion is somewhat interesting and does portray the different mindsets in the church today.

There are some that are eager to embrace change - whatever it takes - new music, contemporary buildings, video projection, TV advertising, Boot camps, coffee shops, cell ministry, bowling alley, retirement village, cemetaries, etc... etc..... etc...

Then there are those that say if we embrace all or even part of that, we lose the essence of our calling - the spirituality and the holiness of what the church is called to be - something set apart and more sacred than the earthly aspects of social life.

Hmmmm...

Sis. Sherri;
I love it!
May God CONTINUE (to the consternation of some) to bless ya'lls ministry.

You wouldn't happen to be accepting "affiliates" now, would you?

I really do understand the dilemna. But we have found out that to reach this present generation, you have to be a little more "edgy", at least in a city setting more so than when we were in a rural area. There is nothing wrong with the social part, as long as you keep the spiritual. We have awesome moves of God, and people weeping in His presence, shouting for joy, hungering with a passion I've never seen before. We've found out that changing our methods does not take away from our message.

My husband preaches in an untucked shirt and pants, usually. It's really rare when he's in a suit and tie anymore. He likes to dress up, but realized that he was alienating so many people who cannot relate to that anymore. Most of the guys coming in from the world don't ever wear a suit--even executives in this part of the country. So they can relate to him better when he's a little more casual.

LOL!! We don't have any churches in Georgia. We don't take in affiliate churches anymore, but we do ordain pastors under our ministry.

Tamor would be running the aisles (all the way out the door) if we brought out the snakes. And I would be right behind her!!!
