I think she did too. Too bad defense didn't have a PI on her last night.
The second request for a sidebar denied by the Judge. Mr. West growing frustrated, asked Judge if the defense could be allowed some leeway in their cross-examination; Judge claims she's giving them a lot of leeway.
If there's any truth to the theory that the trial is a sham and GZ will be found guilty no matter what....the Judge's demeanor is only helping it; especially thus far this morning. She's already interrupted a Pros objection to state her own opinion (ironically, doing so broke her rule that only one person speak at a time), she's denied two requests for sidebars by Mr. West; and she told Mr. West to move to a new subject when he was focusing on the issue of race.
Regarding the last item -- Judge telling Mr. West to change the subject, (I'm not a legal expert, just IMO) I understand a Judge can uphold an objection by the Pros over questions by the defense, but I've never heard a Judge stop a defense lawyer and request that the line of questioning change.
