What did you believe about God when you were in a trinity church?
How did you perceive God and Jesus?
How do you believe differently now (or is there any difference)?

We'll probably have at least three different answers here:
1. When John the Baptizer came preaching the kingdom. based on "The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached and everyone is pressing into it." Luke 16:16
2. At the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. This fits in with the dispensationalist view that each dispensation ends with a judgment. The judgment at the end of the Law or Mosaic dispensation fell upon Jesus. Also, Hebrews 9:16-18 says that before a testament is in force, there has to be the death of the testator.
3. At Pentecost (Sunday May 28 AD 30). Some dispensationalists teach that Pentecost was the "birth" of the church. Some teach that before that strategic date, nobody was ever indwelt by the Holy Spirit and that the HGB (Holy Ghost Baptism) is the same as the birth of the Spirit and that the 120 were not really saved/regenerated until then.

When I sat under the Trinity teaching my concept was that there was three persons in the Godhead ,I was a kid so I believed what they taught me.
But really I didn't understand what that meant.

I just wondered, Scott, if you thought three persons were three individuals or what? I remember when I was brand new in the Lord. I was taking a correspondence course from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. The doctrine of the trinity was mentioned but not explained. The reason for no explanation was that we couldn't contain the whole ocean in a teacup and neither could we fit the whole concept of God in our small human minds. I somehow knew that the one we called Jesus was also the God that was worshiped by the Jews in the OT as Jehovah but I wondered if there were three spirits and, if so, how they all could fit if God was every where present. On December 6, 1955 (my 18th birthday) after kneeling in prayer beside my bed, as I was getting into bed ---all of a sudden i "saw" that God was one invisible Spirit who filled all space and who came to live among us as/in a human baby who grew through childhood into manhood. I understood that as Jesus acted, spoke, interacted with others,and conducted Himself on a day to day basis it could be as a human and/or it could be as God.

The Group that my parents went to church under when I was a kid in my elementary schools years was called The Liberty Full Gospel church ,they doctrine was like the AOG, Or Foursquare ,Or The Open Bible standard Churches ,the pastor preached from a Dakes Bible.
I was even baptized in the titles.
That group still exists in Pensacola ,FL.

Dake has some weird stuff in his Bible notes.
I have a copy which includes the NT plus some other book(s).

Dakes has some decent notes as well as some fruitcake stuff ,that bible is way over priced ,actually I wouldn't having one ,but it ain't for new converts.

See Bro.Sam the Pastor Ken Sumrall was formerly a baptist ,he had gotten involved in The Charismatic renewal movement in the 60s, Jimmy Swaggart used a Dakes it was popular with many Charismatics and Trinity Pentecostals.
