BTW, when did GZ have the opportunity to identify himself? Wasn't he in his vehicle observing TM, while it was raining, and only got out when he saw him running?

I guess he should have yelled out or maybe when he was on the ground getting pummeled he should have mentioned something.

That's all I'm hoping for now...the past couple days have really dimmed my hopes of a not guilty verdict. I just don't see them getting past all the charges written. Because there's a huge difference, between hearing the charges and actually seeing them written out in legalese.

Seriously, Serino testified he had time to identify himself. I am wondering at what point he could have done that. It looks likely that TM sucker punched GZ at the T, so you know that is not one of the possibilities.

I don't see why he would get out of his vehicle if the observation isn't sure to pan out. It only panned out when TM started running.

These are really the two facts that I believe the jury will focus on:

1. No one knows who started the fight.
2. No one knows who screamed.

All of the information given them in the closing arguments will have to answer these two points for them.

So, maybe we could still get a hung jury.

I'd like the case retried so that the Defense can depose the witnesses on TM's cell phone, bring out more of his character, and be done with it. Be done with the media's lying perception of an innocent child.

I don't see either of those two questions as being much of an issue; meaning, that I don't think they will focus on those things for very long. In fact, it seems fairly clear that TM started the fight. And somewhat clear that GZ was the one screaming. No, there's no direct evidence or proof; but common sense should -hopefully- prevail.

I see why West was so furious that Prosecution is now bringing up child abuse. If they had done it earlier, it would have opened the door to TM's fighting history.

They went to great lengths not to bring TM's character into this trial.

The two questions are not clear to a jury in sequestration.

Not just that, but it was evident by the argument and all the case law presented that the State had already prepared it, but waited until the last possible second to include it so as to (once again) limit the time the Defense is able to argue against it.
