Randy,
Let me first say I enjoy reading your post because you make a lot of sense on many things that you say. I also see you on a few other forums and we actually have a lot of friends in common. Maybe my mentallity is wrong but I can't change that. I happen to think that there is only one truth. If you preach it then fine, if not then I do believe that you are lost. What a pastor preaches in their church is between them and God (not me). But there is never a day that I think a trinitarian preacher will be saved. I also happen to believe that muslims will be lost (unless, they repent, are baptized in Jesus' Name, get the Holy Ghost by speaking in tongues, and live a Holy Lifestyle). I believe the same thing about every religious group. I grew up Church of God, they repent, they speak in tongues but they baptize in the titles, they are not set apart from the world, you know what, I believe they are lost. A man may get half the message right but there is no half salvation, you either make it or you don't. Heaven or Hell? There is no middle ground. As far as loving people, you may not realize it but I do love people (even liberals). If you knew me at all you would know this. I weep for the lost and I do everything I can to win them.
I do believe that I know what it takes to go to Heaven. I've talked to many Baptist that say the same thing. I pray that they are right and not me. I hope that when I get to heaven I find out that all this stuff about holiness was not needed. I hope I find out that the Holy Ghost wasn't needed. I hope I find out that it didn't matter how you were baptized or it didn't matter if you were baptized at all. I hope to see all the AFF members there (even the TV watching preachers). But the fact is this...........there is a way to get to heaven and I want to make sure I do everything possible to get there. I don't want to get to judgment and learn that I only had half the message right.
Please forgive any venom that seeped from my previous post. I'll try to refrain from future conversations with certain members.
