You can't be, you are too conservative, but a moderate like me, well....that may be what they think when I go to the pulpit with my laptop.

But you DON'T believe that! lol

You believe in Act 2:38 AND you must maintain holiness which you have yet to define in a way that can be followed.

So really Acts 2:38 is basic salvation and then you have to maintain your salvation through this more advance type of thinking.

Why don't you really say what you believe?

Plus I'm sure there are numerous things your preach and believe you must do to be saved.

Maybe you should make a list?

Number 1 you are looking for a fight. I am not here to fight. Don't deny looking for a fight because this is not the only thread you have questioned me on this type of stuff.

Holiness is a result of being saved. When I obeyed Acts 2:38 I was saved. The more like God I become the more my life changes. I do live MOST standards. I don't do them to "stay saved" I do them because I love God and want to please him.

Do you even know me? Have we ever met? Have you ever heard me preach? I am an evangelist. I don't preach standards in revivals. It is not my place as an evangelist. I preach the doctrine a lot, but that what I am supposed to preach.

If you want to continue to tear down the apostolic doctrine and attack us who stand for it and would die for it you may want to consider the Words of Paul.
Rom 16:17-18
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

This line of thinking is ludicrous. It appears that you're saying to be saved you have to obey the New Birth message and then, after that, nothing else matters. I think it's commonly understood by real Apostolics that you can get saved in a moment by obeying God's requirement for the New Birth but to continue to walk in that salvation is going to mean making some adjustments from a life of sin to a life of righteousness.

If this is your argument to argue against spiritual disciplines it fails miserably.

Well according to the evangelist Miller he just stated in his last post after the Acts 2:38 experience he was SAVED.

I have also heard seen another post where he wrote you have to do more after Acts 2:38 to maintain in other words your salvation which it seems to me this is what you believe in.

In conclusion, he already contradicted himself and doesn't seem to believe exactly how you believe as far as salvation goes so I guess I'm at a loss why you are 'trying' to defend him.

Maybe you misunderstood what I wrote on another thread. You are saved when you obey Acts 2:38, plain and simple.

I do believe that there are things about your lifestyle that will change as a result of salvation. Yes those things are important. Some of them are necessary. Can a woman get saved wearing a pair of pants? YES. Do I believe that saved women wear pants? NO. It is an abomination.

Will I provide you a list of dos and don'ts that I beleive? nope. It won't change your opinion anyway. If you live every standard that I believe is necessary for saved people just because I say so that makes you a pharisee.

Now asking Bro. Steadfast why he would defend me since I don't believe all he does, well it may amaze both of you how much we agree on.

Ok, well I wish I had the time/energy to search through your posts because I know I understood what you were saying but maybe you can find it and I might be wrong, lol.

So a woman wears pants and gets saved. Then she continues to wear pants that were researched and developed and customed made for a womans body...she will go to hell?

Have you ever said if you wear pants you will go to hell? Do you think woman's pants in today's society were actually made for men? Have you tried on womens pants? lolololol They are shaped for their bodies since they anatomically are alot different than ours.

I would like a list of dos and don't please. I mean if you really believe this maybe you have one already typed out? I think it would be great to have, unless of course you are embarrassed about it. Does one involved abstaining from sports/exercise?

Our pastors boys couldn't go watch sports but they could listen to it on the radio. They are going to really love it when they leave the nest because they are sport fanatics and I'm sure they will go to these events and try to hide it from dad because he'll get mad and say they are not being obedient to the man of God.

Sorry but I have more important things to do than argue with you.

I have no problem with some sports. I watched the Ohio/LSU game. I wear a wedding ring. I wear cuff links. I wear short sleeves. What does it matter to you? If you really felt like you were right you would not be trying to pick out people who live holiness and pick them apart. The thing is, I bet you were at one time a holiness believer and have left it.

I don't think you have more important things to do as you can been arguing with me for a little while tonight and it's what 2:30 am your time? lol

So you watch worldly sports....sigh. I thought you had to be separate from the world? You wear short sleeves? Better not come to Oregon you'll get preached out you because you have backslidden!

I guess you don't understand how wrong the 'system and rules of holiness'
are in the UPCI. Just like the TV resolution and how you can watch TV and see the great godly preacher on it but then when you go to church you'll hear them preaching against TV.

I think it would be really funny to see a UPCI preacher preach against TV while on air on a TV station! lol

Of course they like to save this stuff for a Wednesday night or mid-week service.

Anyway, have a good night regardless of our disagreements.
I've been saved by your doctrine anyways so no worries I just wish more people would see the truth of what they actually believe in.
