Some "token". Coadie tokens are like 4 for $1.00 at chuck e cheese. We're talking about paying $10,000 for some old worn out shoes. And it is idolatry and narcissim.
Lets not act like its a "shoe auction" and nothing else. Would they be paying $10,000 if I took off my used shoes? No, because its not about the shoes, and its not about money for the kingdom of God, its about them attempting to build their own kingdom, and glorify their own.

Naw, you're being too harsh. Just call Headquarters and ask for a tape of Timothy Creel's 1984 sermon at Anaheim, or call CLC and order Loren Yadon's "Tragedies of War" sermon, or CLC and ask for Lee Stoneking's sermon in which he said that UPC ministers who leave the org are hooked on porn and want their wives to look like the porn stars they watch, or ask for Jim Larson's Landmark sermon title "We're not saved by grace, we're saved by the doctrine."
You'll have no problem getting these tapes.

Then why did he start grinding the audience and telling them they were a dead audience, and chastising them for not bidding? He clearly had an expectation.
