Computer program for recipes

I just bought a really nice computer program called Cook' N.

Once you input your recipes you can do a menu for the week and calculate how many calories that would be for one person.

It also has many of the words in it that if you type a "t" then teaspoon automaticcally pops up and you can just enter it or add and "a" for tablespoon.

Same thing works on ingredients.

This program was a little pricer than the others but it offers tech support which for me is important.

PLUS you can print your own cookbook, or email recipes to your friends and family.

So far I really like it.

There are others less expensive but they do not offer what DVO does. I did a search on most of the popular programs out there, and some had some not so good reviews.

Re: Computer program for recipes

Watch the training video's they are very informative. Another thing I liked about it is it can expand a recipe for a large group.

I use big oven. I like it , and it has an iphone app as well. http://www.bigoven.com/

iPhone cooking tip, put it in a ziplock bag, the capacitive screen stll words and you can cook while reading recipes without the fear of spilling chipotle sauce into the speaker....

I did not see this one when I google cooking programs.

Cook'N does everything and probably more than I need. I like the idea of being able to increase a recipe without me having to figure it out. lol

Plus it will do your shopping list for you if you make up your menu.

It also seems pretty user friendly.
