Re: Would This Man be Welcome to Preach at Confere

Nothing in the bible prohibits facial hair it's more of a personal preference.

Thats all I'm saying..........
You are too funny!

I think the UPC needs to let this issue go too.

I understand why they had this rule for a season but it's time

hair was cultural and that if the church was going to win
more blacks he needed to let that rule go. so he did for the
Blacks but didn't want it on the white men.

I know.,,,Crazy but that's what was
All righty Mark.

How is the blood applied to our life? BY FAITH

How is faith expressed? Through Works

If Faith has not the work of baptism.. then it is not faith at all because faith without this work does not exist.. it is dead

I just wonder what Paul was talking about when he explains salvation to Agrippa... and he says these words

Acts 26:20 - But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and [then] to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

DO WHAT? REPENT and something else is required as well? Surely not? What does Paul mean DO WORKS... in conjunction with Repentance but not just any works.. works that are MEET FOR REPENTANCE

now,, we gotta find out what "MEET" means

AXIOS - weighing, having weight, having the weight of another thing of like value, worth as much

2) befitting, congruous, corresponding to a thing

Paul said that our WORKS in Repentance should be WORTH AS MUCH as the actual Repentance they should be BEFITTING of Repntance....

Now wait.. we need two witnesses on this to confirm this is water baptism... so follow me to Jesus Baptism.. when he is rebuking the Pharisees for their mocking his Baptism.. he tells them that they should also be baptized

Matt 3:8 - Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance

Whoa man! What an mind opening post!

Were you finished with this post-- is there any more you want to add?
