Immanuel Church - Charles & Dotty Schmitt
Does any one know anything about these Pastors or their church, personally?
I will be visiting their church this Sunday and wanted to know if I was stepping in the wrong direction with these folks.
Please do not run them down simply because they are charismatic-- I am sincerely trying to find out if these folks and their church has any kind of reputation.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Immanuel Church - Charles & Dotty Schmitt
Apparently you are going to be seeing a "special guest" from the Lakeland Revival this coming Sunday.

Re: Immanuel Church - Charles & Dotty Schmitt
I read that. Honestly, isn't that a bad sign? Not in a mean, rude or disrespectful way-- but, should I be concerned about that?

Hmmmmmm. I'd say they're definitely not apostolic. I think they are AOG. I listened to a few minutes of a message and twice he mentioned the AOG.

Re: Immanuel Church - Charles & Dotty Schmitt
I was told by the guy who invited me that they baptize in Jesus Name and that they have their baptisms every other Sunday.
