Wow, this thread has been slow moving!!!! What's up? Everybody busy or what? I sure had a BUSY weekend, I was happy to get so much done but it physically WORE me out!!!!! Saturday my mom and grandma came over and helped me do some "deep cleaning", we got a lot done and my grandma is so wonderful!! She went and bought us a new entertainment stand and some new mini blinds for some of our windows that were old and looking wore out. So, that inspired my husband to finally do some things in the living room that I have been wanting done and we rearranged all our furniture and he went and bought me a new light and clock for the living room!!!! We still have much to do but we are finally getting there, I have been living in a house for the past year that has had half painted walls and a ugly drywall ceiling with a half empty living room! It is finally looking much better and hopefully this weekend we will get ALOT more done!
Unfortunately today I have a horrible cold and sore throat!!!! I haven't felt like this in looong time. I can't wait to go home and crawl back into bed but that won't be until late since it is my night to work late.
Well, I gotta run - I'll be back shortly!!

Sounds like a nesting momma to me...how exciting to be getting things fixed up. it feels so good doesn't it?...
I am glad you have lots of help...I am praying for you, and in earnest for your delivery date...God wants you to be healed, it is not His desire that you be sick...take care and get lots of rest...
I have been so busy...and will be still...I have not had a lot of time to be here at my desk...I am thinking of you all, and hoping things are wonderful in your life...
Maybe I will make it back later...my hubby has been home for a long weekend, but has to go back today...so maybe this evening I will make it back....
Take care all...love and blessings....

Well, we sure miss you when you are not around!!!!! But I understand the need to prioritizing!!! I have been doing that alot myself here lately!
It does feel good to finally be getting some things done around our house. My husband sadly is a procrastinator and since I have been pregnant I haven't been up to taking on tasks myself or pushing him to do them. I am just glad he finally is getting with it even if it is near the end, at least it all may be done before he gets started on his outdoor projects which is what he enjoys doing so they are usually first on the list once the weather is nice. But that is ok, here in Indiana we have longer winters than we do summers - so it feels anyways!

My husband is teaching youth class on Sunday so he wants me to look up some good object lessons for him. Something fun for the teens. Having a tough time finding anything online though.
Their youth leader/teacher is really tough on them and well.....that isn't my husband's style at all.

I was supposed to go into the church daycare early today and help with cooking breakfast & lunch-- but woke up with an extremely sore throat and horrible cold symptoms. I am feeling a little better now, although my throat is still sore. The girls are getting some things together so I can take them and leave them at the daycare for the afternoon to help out.
I felt kind of bad about not going in, because I know they are short handed this week due to it being spring break week-- but I think they'd rather not have me there if I am coming down with strep or something. I am just praying it's NOT strep throat.

Hello all my Gabby Friends,
someone mentioned how dead it was here this weekend. Boy, oh boy, is that the truth or what!! It's good to see at least some of you back.
I still haven't heard anything on the job application I put in Friday for the police dispatcher job. Please continue to pray about it. One of the reasons this is so important is because if something does end up happening to Walt, I would be left with no health insurance. That's just not a good thing!!! So I need A job - whether it is this one or whether God plans to open another door. Doesn't matter to me. I want whatever HE wants Thanks for your prayers.
Walt and I spoke at the Nazarene Church yesterday giving our story and then showing the DVD that I had made of his recovery. It was a tremendous service. People were worshiping and glorifying God all over the place. After we finished, the pastor got up to say a few words. But before he had said 2 sentences, he just broke down crying and had to walk away. He came back several times just saying over and over, "God is so good. God is sooooooooo good."
Well, guess I'll check in later and see what you all are doing. Have a good afternoon, all.

That's awesome about your testimony!!!!
I will be praying with you regarding your job - I understand completely, I am still praying that something different will open up for me. I have even been dreaming of it lately!!! That's bad!!!!! I knwo there is something God has planned for me so I try to just be patient and wait for him to send me something - if it is from God I know I will be sooooo happy, so it is worth the wait I suppose!!!! Plus 2 of my co-workers have visited my church in the last month - 1 of them returned for the second time last night!!!! So, I guess if I can help lead someone to Christ this job is worth it!!!

We had awesome church last night and I woke up soooo refreshed.
When we got home last night the sweetest thing happened. My 3 year old wanted me to read his little bible to him. Normally we just read a kids bible story or something. But he wanted me to read his bible. So I asked him where we should read and my 8 year old calls from his bedroom "Mom can you and Eric come in here and we can read Luke 19?" Apparently that is what their SS lesson was on yesterday.
So I go in and read it to them and although I know they didn't catch the whole meaning of the chapter it was great that they wanted to hear the Word.

That may be the very reason why you are still at this job. I am convinced that God sees the picture in a different way than we do. And of course, His view is always best

myhalo, that is so neat!! You must be doing a great job as a momma. Good for you.
I had a pastor who used to say to us that if you were the best soul-winner in the church and brought people in by the droves, but your own children went into eternity lost, you needed to step back and re-examine where you were at and wht you were doing. I believe he was completely correct. I understand that we don't ALWAYS have control over what choices our kids make. But we do have control over what we feed into their little hearts when they are young. Agreed?
