Thumbs up Gingrich wont drop out cause Sanitorum cant win

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...8d605238db2a22

A Santorum ally urged Gingrich to abandon the race.
In response, the former House speaker said he would consider it — if he thought Santorum was sure to beat Romney and then President Barack Obama. "I don't," he added.

Romney encourages rivals to fold; no way, they say
By DAVID ESPO, AP Special Correspondent – 5 minutes ago
WASHINGTON (AP) — His delegate lead growing, Mitt Romney gently nudged his Republican opponents toward the sidelines on Wednesday and said he was on track to wrap up the presidential nomination before the party convention next summer. Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich paid him no mind, vowing to fight on in a campaign marked by persistent ideological divisions.
If anything, the political maneuvering intensified as the marathon pointed toward contests in five states over the next week. Romney's campaign purchased television advertising time in Alabama according to campaign sources, as it pursued a breakthrough in the party's Southern base.

I think Newt should step aside. But unfortunatly I'm not sure any of the three have what it takes to beat Obama. Hope I'm wrong.

Re: Gingrich wont drop out cause Sanitorum cant

I think we need to let the process play itself out. If Gingrich thinks he can win Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, let him give it a go. It is not entirely out of the question. Why should he give it to Santorum now?

Maybe Newt is working toward a Brokered Convention. Perry received 13,000 votes from Super Tuesday. That is a protest vote. We need to let it play itself out.

I'm not for giving it to Romney at this point and I don't think Santorum can win and maybe Newt won't either, but I want to let the process work.

Romney is going to get hammered in the general election by the Democrats. He might not win either.

Re: Gingrich wont drop out cause Sanitorum cant

If you are keeping score....It takes 1144 delegates to win the GOP Pres.

Nomination:
Romney - 404
Santorum -161
Gingrich - 105
Paul - 61

SO THAT MEANS CURRENTLY...

Romney has 404 and The GRAND Total Of ALL of the "ANYBODY but Romney" Candidates is 327 ..... Brokered Convention on the way.
