Pay Zero Taxes Legally....

"But shockingly, unbeknownst to the masses, the wealthiest Americans often don't pay a dime in taxes . . . and it's completely legal."

"In one recent year alone . . . 46.9% of those earning $250,000 (or more) paid zero taxes.

Now if these individuals allowed Uncle Sam to fleece them at their 35% tax bracket, they should have a paid a minimum of $87,500.

I don't know whether to be disgusted or to congratulate the people who are wealthy enough to hire someone to find a tax loop hole so that they can not pay taxes at a time when our government is in dire financial straits.

Re: Pay Zero Taxes Legally....

I can't speak for the rest of the world, but our accountant takes PLENTY of our money for taxes. She finds every loophole possible to keep our taxes as LOW as possible, but we pay our fair share at the end of the day like everyone else.

I suppose we could hand over 30% or more of our money to the government simply because they ask, but that really wouldn't be good stewardship. We'll give them precisely what we owe and not a penny more. I'm appalled and disgusted that anyone in this country thinks we should have to pay more than we actually owe. It's our accountant's job to determine exactly what we owe. We pay her because it's too much red tape for my husband to stress over every year and she's worth every penny, because she not only saves us money, but she also saves him a lot of headaches.

As far as the link you posted goes...that's a full page ad for someone's how-to book, and the claims in the ad aren't truly substantiated with facts; it's not an actual ARTICLE.

Re: Pay Zero Taxes Legally....

1) Didn't say this was an article, but NEWSMAX is a conservative news source.

2) This conservative news source does not have a marginal following.

3) This Newsmax is paid by these people to peddle their get-over-on-the-gubment scheme.

4) This advertisement gives credence to the frustrations of many Americans-- the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Often, the wealthy do not pay their "fair share" simply because they can afford the best accountants and find these "legal loopholes."

If I could compare this to a well known criminal case, "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit."

If there is a loophole in the law, then it's not a violation of the law to not pay taxes.

After all, "in one recent year alone . . . 46.9% of those earning $250,000 (or more) paid zero taxes."

Either Newsmax is being sponsored by liars, or Newsmax is being sponsored by those who don't pay as you would describe, "their fair share."
