...and I need some suggestions. I do not like fiction. Fav topics: history, law, theology. (I know, I know, who woulda thought?) Anyway, I'll look into whatever ya'll suggest. I do not visit the lawbrary, as I tend to run into strange situations there. :-/ so I'd be purchasing the book on the Barne's and Noble website.

Oh no, you are not gonna leave us hanging! Tell us about these strange situations!

Houston, your comments about running into "strange situations" at the library was interesting. Can you elaborate?
I use my local library to check out audio books I listen to on business trips. It saves me a lot of money since audio books are so expensive. I have never had anything strange happen at my library. Of course it is not a big city library either.

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
"The Education of Little Tree" by Forrest Carter. Best book this side of the Bible. (Note: some very minor language. But a very moving story. (Partially autobiographical)
Another great book by Carter- "Watch for me on the Mountain" he also wrote "The Outlaw Josey Wales"

If history or war history is of interest to you, I would suggest Victor Davis Hanson.
Father of Us All (war and history) is exceptional
A war like no other is a look at the Peloponnesian war. I have not read this but really want to.
Hanson is a brilliant scholar who’s focus is on war and history.

If you are interested in American History, I would recommend David McCullough's books. "John Adams", "Harry Truman", "1776","Path Between the Sea"(building of Panama Canal, and is an incredible story) and others by McCullough.
