You can certainly serve God in the UPC, but there is a tendency to follow the crowd rather than to 'know Jesus personally'. Does your church encourage you to "personally" know Jesus, not just to know about Him, but to "know" Him in personal fellowship?JMHOs

again, this isnt the situation Ms is talking about....
I agree with everything you've said here....people have to work out their own relationship...no pastor can do that for them..no organization can do that for them.
It's about a personal relationship with Jesus.......if you dont have one or know why you do what you do - then you will have problems.
