Re: Is this true?
The microchip technology is available. I don't see it happening in the US half as easily as it would in say... China, where there would be more governmental control already in place and fewer Christians who would object. It has been discussed as technology in the US but set aside due to the number of people who would object.
The military have the potential now of digitized dog tags that carry medical info on them so that soldiers info is on their person but not embedded into their skin. They are easier to locate and scan, and can carry a potentially massively larger amount of information.
Remember when bank cards came out? I heard they were the mark of the beast in the 90s.
Personally I wonder, no matter what the mark of the beast is, what is the mark of God in the foreheads of the saints? I believe that is actually the much bigger question. If the seal of God is the Holy Ghost or any other spiritual application, would not the mark of the beast be a spiritual application as well, rather than a physical identification? People respond to my question that no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast, but that could just as easily have a spiritual application or less distinguishable "mark" as well-such as having to use the internet to buy and sell (for the UCs). Just my thoughts.
