I figured I wasn't the first one to notice this, so I googled "Doubting Thomas bum rap". This fellow has a different take on it, though. Interesting.

Interesting thoughts! I like this from the article:

Thomas interrupted Jesus' last discourse with a question, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?" He freely voiced his reaction to hearing of Jesus' appearance when he was absent. He thus shows us how to ask bold questions, to demand proof, to pull aside the curtains that principalities and powers drape over their leaders, and to pay attention to the ones behind the curtains. Our world and our church desperately need faithful followers of Jesus to do these things, and more.
