Roast, mashed potatoes, green beans, macaroni & cheese, Crescent Rolls and Banana Pudding. My house smelled SO good!

After dinner, I took the leftover roast and chopped it up and put barbeque sauce & ketchup and spices in it. Tomorrow we will have it for sandwiches. I have a lot of leftover mashed potatoes. I may try to make fried potato cakes; I've never done that before. Anyone have any success with those? Do I add something to the potatoes before I make them into patties? It seems like they would just crumble like this.
