Want to hear what made me laugh today?
I went to Kroger this morning and picked up a few things. One of the specials they had was that if you buy 4 of certain Quaker products, you would get 5 1/2 gallons of either milk or OJ for free. Well, I needed the Quaker cereal for next Sunday (to make PUppy Chow), but I didn't need the milk. But I went ahead and got them anyway, thinking that I could just bless a friend of mine who is very, very poor with the extra milk and give 1/2 gallon of OJ to my mom.
Both were delighted to take these things off my hands.
So mom and I spent the day shopping in Toledo. When I get home, I walk in the door and Keith says to me, "Mom, we're out of milk" WHAT??? I gave away all that milk in the morning and now we are OUT??
So I drag him out to the store to buy both milk and juice now for us.
I had to laugh tho because isn't that just like God? He knew Susan was in need, so he provided for her. And He knew that He had already blessed us enough to be able to afford another gallon of milk and 1/2 gallon of OJ without any problem at all. If God had said to me, "Hey! Go buy milk for Susan and her family", would I have recognized His voice? I'd like to think I would, but I can't say that for sure. So God just orchestrated things to work out in such a way that Susan got the milk she needed anyway.
I think God is pretty cool like that!
Please don't think I'm bragging about the milk ---- no way! It's ONLY a gallon of milk. NO BIG DEAL!! I'm bragging on GOD!! HE IS a big deal!
