I received a couple of angry PM's on the GNC, but I wouldn't call them "hate mail." I had a guy on the AFF PM me once and tell me that I seem like a ***ch. However, I responded reasonably and we ironed things out alright. 
I don't really call that hate mail either. "Hate mail" would have to be where someone clearly states that they can't stand me, and they wish ill for me. Someone disagreeing with me or even being mad at me isn't "hate."
Plus, I usually state what I really think right on the forum, and don't mind others doing the same--even if it hurts. So I imagine folks say what they think about me right out in the open.  No need to PM it anonymously.
