all these jobs moving over seas, yet US unemployment has been below 6% for YEARS and median income is higher than EVER.
something isnt computing....
also, since 2003 (read bush tax cuts) the total number of millionairs has more than doubled.
the top 2% of wage owners pay somewhere near 40% or more of the tax burden. in the 1970s under Jimmy Carter they paid about 19% of the total income tax bill.
the bottom 50% of wage owners currently pay 2% of the tax burden.
for a party that is for the rich and against the poor... uhm.. republicans are doing a poor job.
Ferd, if we keep exporting quality jobs because big business can make more money and be less regulated, the backlash will be inevitable. If other countries and businesses continue to buy more of our economy the backlash will be inevitable. If we continue to auction out parts of our infrastructure and institutions to the higher bidder (read that as attempting to sell our port security to a Saudi company, offering our Air Force contracts to foreign aircraft munufacturers, etc...), the backlash will be inevitable.
