Nobody is saying that sin doesn't dwell in us. We're saying that we don't have to live sinning continually, don't have to live captive to sin but rather to live overcoming sin.

There's the ongoing struggle - the same one Paul fought - when he talked about wanting to do good but not always able to do the good he wanted to do. We all struggle, but we can live an overcoming life.

If we couldn't, there wouldn't be much point to salvation.
