That is a frustrating situation. I'd lock up the valuables when you're away. Most crimes are crimes of opportunity. Just playing the odds, there is a good chance that the management may have a "problem tenant" or a problem relationship of some kind.
Also, not to compound your concerns: you're not going to Jerusalem this week are you? The "Tourist-in-Chief" is traveling there. Going after his visit might be excellent timing because most idiots with a point to make will have already tried.
Have a safe trip. Take lots of pics to share! Especially the Temple Mount. I want architectural details. Especially around recent construction and digging sites.
