A great sermon idea would be for preachers to read and follow
Proverbs 10:19:
"In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin; but he that refraineth his lips is wise."
Jesus followed this Proverb, in that He is never recorded to have spoken on any one one topic for more than a few short minutes. Apostle Paul, rather, is recorded to have violated this Proverb in
Acts 20:9 when his "long" preaching caused a man to die.
There is no so called "context" for this verse to allow its clear meaning to be explained away for the convenience of professional church talkers whose careers depend upon longwinded sermons. Those who claim to represent Jesus should indeed follow His example given in Scripture.
