Bible scholars have long noticed the pattern of re-ocurring three's in Scripture. Re: Earth is the third planet and man is body, soul, and spirit. Seth was Adam's third son and began to cry unto the LORD. Noah's three sons were the pro-genitors of all nations after the flood. Jacob's third son was Levi who became Israel's spiritual leader. The Tabernacle was made up of three dimensions. Jesus had an inner circle of three, Peter, James, and John.
Of course the resurrection was after three days and the writer of
Proverbs 22:20 said he had written unto us "excellent things". "Excellent" coming from the Hebrew word
shaliysh which is a basic word for "three".
Israel was required to attend three of the Feasts acccording to
Exodus 23:17.
Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. Jesus was crucified at Passover, the church was Spirit baptized when Pentecost was fully come and yet Tabernacles remains to be fulfilled. Will there be a "happening of God" some future Feast of Tabernacles to complete the "three excellent things"? Tabernacles is the only Feast to be mentioned that will be observed in the future.
I want some honest insight from you "excellent" scholars! Thad might tell you that the Feast of Tabernacles begins at sunset before the day of the controversial vote at General Conference, September 27th. Any relevance?
