Hitler was a socialist (even though he later stated he didn't like the word socialism, he never retracted his views that aligned with it). He was an animal rights activist. He was for "spreading the wealth around". He supported nationalized health care. He supported gun control. He supported your favorite cause, pro-choice on abortion. Any of this sounding familiar?
