Yes, The Holy Spirit did indeed convey that message, but there are no quotation marks of specific utterance being spoken. Tell me, just becsuse The Holy Spirit communicated at times to The Apostles, does that mean He does so to you or others today?
Here is the lesson for you: Simply because you mentally agree with a historical account in Scripture, and you have a wonderful faith in the recorded Word of God, does not mean that account is going to as well occur in your own life today, or that it occurs in the Church today. Are you able to grasp this, or not ... ?
