Where do you believe that discipleship begins?
I believe we must give credit where credit is due. The Lord has used both of
these organizations to propagate the gospel:
"Some indeed preach Christ even
of envy and strife; and some also of good will...What then? notwithstanding,
every way, whether in pretense, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein
do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice."
We must understand that pretense cannot negate the gospel: Truth is Truth.
However, true discipleship is FIRST upheld BY the gospel; then, it upholds the
Truth of the gospel.
Surely the gospel is found throughout scriptures; however, the ESSENCE of
the gospel is found in Mk. 16:16; Acts 2:38; and I Cor 15:1-4.
