We can argue this all night, but I won't. They were acting on behalf of the RCC. They were doing the will of the RCC, not Christ. The RCC thoughout history has only acted in its own interests, not in the interest of Christ. The RCC was against Christ when it killed Christians who threatened the existence of the RCC.
