God has a purpose for those he has called.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be
conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:28-29
Gods purpose in calling you is that you would become like Jesus.
Jesus shows what that looks like.
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
Luke 6:40
Again its about being like Jesus.
