Godly living should be a natural outflow of maturity in Christ. We tend to be drawn to what we focus on, if we fear and focus on sin, sin is empowered. If we focus on Jesus, the Word and His presence, we are empowered to live accordingly.

What you are saying is true. Nonetheless an apostle of Jesus Christ still was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write these warnings. One could be destroyed for their sin.
Generally if one sins they may have a chance to repent. It seems as if the Holy Spirit is warning through the apostle not to just take that for granted.
Anannias and Saphira commited one sin that we know of and both were slain by the Lord. YHWH would have us to understand this.
