I believe ... and taught that each of these stones point to Jesus Christ ... the Rock who is higher than I.

Acts 2:38 point to the exact same Jesus the rest of your stones point to?
As to preaching standards where there is a great mix of churches, I would agree that specifics (ie. sleeve length, bad colors, etc.) and personal interpretation some not be preached, but an over all general holiness message is always in order.
