I can tell you that the church as a whole is tired of this mess and back the pastor. Or course you do have some who are family and whatnot but they were always causing problems too.

have some fundraisers and/or take up a special offering to buy and replace what they took. that will cook their goose
thank God your pastor is not letting these people manipulate and hold your church hostage any longer. God will honor this and send you the musicians- i urge you all to train up some right in your own congrgation too if youhaven't started to already
