I’d love any tips or advice you can give on this trip…if you have nothing to add, just pray!
Leaving Monday on a Greyhound bus for Monterrey, Mexico, where I’ll catch a plane to Villahermosa, Mexico. I’ll be mostly concentrating on the state of Chiapas and northern Guatemala on my trip. I’d like to meet up with a missionary down there, but I don’t know them, so I’ll just show up (I’ve become quite Mexican in the way I do things the past couple of years
). If you guys know anyone down that way, I’d appreciate any info. I'll be traveling around mostly by third-class busses and hopefully taking Mayan language lessons in Guatemala. I have many ideas about what I’d like to do, but have deliberately not planned anything so as to have maximum flexibility. The bus ride to El Salvador isn’t that long, either…I understand a few people have connections down there.
I’ll be gone about 4 weeks. My lovely wife was planning to go, but decided to stay home a few weeks ago and decorate our baby’s room (doesn’t want to catch malaria!).
