For the record, this forum was NOT created to honor Jim Yohe or keep his 'vision' alive. That task was claimed by those that ran the other forums. How they did it and how successful they were now belongs to the opinions of man. However, Apostolic Friends Forum is not for Jim Yohe. I don't mind honoring his memory but this forum is not, has not and will not be encumbered with any liberties or restrictions that may have come with Jim Yohe's name.
This is for Apostolics who want to communicate via an internet forum.
It's really not that hard to understand.
As for the supposed preacher bashing? Obviously there was what most here perceived as 'preacher bashing' that went on. Too many have stated that it was their perception and that they appreciate it not being allowed on our forum. And, for the record, we are endeavoring to make sure that nobody else is 'bashed' either. There simply has to be a better way. We have, up to this point, been as fair as possible and as 'hands off' as possible. However, any expectation to restrict our ability to keep this forum civil is now a ridiculous expectation.
We simply never started the board with that promise. We won't give in to any pressure to be so in the future. I do think that most appreciate that. Those that don't simply won't stay. It's not our desire for anyone to leave but neither can we make anybody stay who desire something we have made no provision for: freedom to attack.
We want a forum that all can enjoy and where controversial things can, in fact, be discussed and debated without a civil war. We want it to be both passive and passionate. That can be done without personal attacks.
No, we are not a 13th cousin to the step-aunt who was the best friend of Jim Yohe's first grade teacher. But we are Apostolic. That, and a desire to fellowship an internet society joined under that glorious banner, is what we're striving to build this forum on.

Oh, so I got "The Dean" out of hiding and he hath deigned to speak.
Of course I didn't expect anything other than the sputtering answer he gave to my challenge to show or ensample SPECIFIC examples of "preacher bashing" ... "oh, many said there was."
Uh ... see the "fish" reference "Dean."
Read it slowly.
It's a lot easier to spout some irrelevant rhetoric than it is to actually deal with the substance of one's post.
And SURELY nothing was said about the irony of everyone hollering about "preacher bashing" when the root problems at NFCF was caused by one of their own.
But let's cut to the chase here, "Dean."
You people have always known who I was, known my address and phone number pretty much.
Do I expect everyone to post their phone numbers?
No.
But there should be enough accountability that identities are established and "owners" acting as "super-moderators" aren't hiding behind anonymity and trying to make the rank-and-file swallow this bull manure that it's done for some noble reason.
So that's all I have to say.
Mainly "Dean"... because I don't dialogue with cowards hiding behind anonymous screennames.
So you enjoy your little forum ... AND your little ego-trip.

Tim,
I hate you feel this way. I really don't think the anonymous owner is trying to hide or has an ego problem. I think there's a legitimate reason for waiting to reveal themselves.

Tim,
We are glad that you are here, however if you feel that this forum is not for you, well that will be all of our loss, you bring good thought and life to many threads.
Bottom line is that we will carry on whatever you decide to do and you will carry on whatever you decide to do.
Hope to see you posting.

And someone had to just go and get this started again and I Am so glad it was you this time!! LOL... I am NOT responsible for anything today WHEW
So now that we got this cleared up... I happen to know a wonderful counselor and I believe she can help you with your bout of denial you are going thru there sis... See these things happen when you have teenagers around.. and since you have those weird kids (we all know youth pastors have weird kids around them all the time) as kids have all lost their brains we understand and accept that you are just in need of therapy for your denial issues and then you will come forth as the true owner!! GLORY!!!
