Are the Duggers UPC? Or some kind of Apostolic?
I am watching the Duggers on TLC network, the family that has 18 kids, and they look like they might have some holiness background. Anyone know if they are Apostolic?

I don't think they're Apostolic. Some type of trinitarian holiness would be my guess. I also think I heard somewhere that they do home church. (Which is pretty practical, considering the size of their family.)

I think they're fundamentalist Baptist.

Do they homeschool? Many homeschoolers have taken up a holiness-type dress style.

They are conservative Baptist who follow the teachings of Bill Gothard and the Quiverfull movement.

They do homeschool, but just FYI, we interact with a lot of other homeschool families, and very few of them dress in the traditional "holiness-type" dress.
Most of the homeschoolers we know are Baptists or Catholics.

Most in our homeschool group don't, either, but at the book fairs there are a lot who do. And there are several homeschooling publications which promote dresses only, headcoverings, etc. As Sinatra said, Bill Gothard and the Quiverfull movement has influenced a lot of them. Plus the former Gentle Spirit magazine, and it's many spin-offs.
When we started homeschooling about 16 years ago the movement was pretty conservative. It's not as much anymore.
Most of the homeschoolers I know are non-denominational.

I think one of their shows had something about this on it. I may be wrong, I usually am. =)

Re: Are the Duggers UPC? Or some kind of Apostolic
I initially watched bits and pieces of the show but have a hard time seeing more then a minute or two now before switching stations to something a bit more sane -like HGTV or Animal Planet.
The news recently mentioned their son, who was just married in October, is expecting there first sometime in May. If you due the math you see that she must have gotten pregnant on their wedding night or within the first week. Now we will see if she follows the "9 months pregnant, 2 months NOT, repeat" pattern.
