Since I am the proud owner of a brand spanking new PC, I have started on my endless quest to modify/upgrade it. I noticed my video card is running WAY too hot -about 80c idol and 110c on full load! I ordered (from newegg.com of course) a new VGA cooling heatsink/fan combo and will let everyone know how it goes once installed.
It 'should' let me overclock quite a bit as well.
Just got it in. Installed it. Already my idol temps have decreased by about 7 degrees C. It should lower another 1-3 degrees as the thermal paste sets. (Although I am thinking that I may have used too much of the stuff.....)

I was just wondering the other day: what if you overclocked a vintage 8086 PC to a couple GHz or so. Would it instantly fry, or would it just have no idea what you're talking about?

You have to be a computer geek/nerd who has some experience building or heavily upgrading their system.
That splain's it!
