I've been up since before the crack of a cold dawn...
Been busy...sent 3 emails to friends and loved ones, went out to 2 grocery stores, topped off my gas tank (my dad always said you don't let the tank get low when it's cold), and now I've decided to have an picnic.
No, I haven't lost what was left of my mind...I'm barbequing on an indoor grill...!!
I'm doing chicken w/my special barbeque sauce, polish sausage, and making red skinned potato salad....sound yummy?! I can't hardly wait...
What are y'all doing today, besides staying warm?! Hope you'll take the time to send someone a good word...it will bless you almost as much as it will them.
So I think I'm going to listen to a few messages online, do some Bible study, take some time to teach the kids more about worship.
I'm being lazy about the whole day though. Still in my jammies, so are the kids. We're eating leftover birthday cake for breakfast.
And more than anything, I'm going to be looking forward to seeing what God is going to do about this new development that has us stranded at home today instead of looking back at how things wouldn't be like this if some people (myself included!) had made some different choices.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message
Barb- sounds like you are being pro active towards cabin fever! I am taking it easy today- getting some laundry done at home and just puttering around- I will probably exercise and stay on the diet!
Taking it easy today - staying indoors where it's warm!
I'm rearranging my dishes - - I got a new set of Correll for my birthday, so I'm washing all that and packing up my other set to give to my daughter.
Continuing to copy the DVD's of the kids so they both have a full set. It's going to take hours and hours - - - we have 30 DVD's of them and I have to make two copies!!!! Every couple hours I check the recorder and change them out. At least I don't have to watch them that many times - lol! I can watch TV while it's recording.
Taking down the rest of the Christmas decorations. Left a few up for when my son comes home from the hospital (there since 12/19), which he did yesterday (yay!). (Also left some up, just cuz I didn't get around to it! )

Staying warm. Reading posts. Watching an artist [wife] at work [food]. Waiting on kids to come over and eat. Continuing the reading of "Reimagining Church" by Viola. Working [drawing] on house plans. Barb, your menu sounds great. Nahkoe, I like cake for breakfast too. Renda, I need to do the same thing with my old 8mm home movies. Trying to forget the "D" word [diet] that Blubayou mentioned. Still trying to remember it is "Blue-Bayou" and not "Bluba-You" as I first pronounced it. Wishing I could someday meet Timmy.

You need to get it done before the tape isn't any good. I transferred our VHS's to DVD a couple years ago and the first couple VHS were from 1984 and the color was already splitting on them.
We recorded my dad's 8mm a short-cut way. We put the screen up and put the projector really close to give a good clean picture, then just recorded with our newer camera as it played on the screen. Then transferred that tape to DVD. Worked like a charm.
