Anyone here do or know about 2nd life?

As I understand this is quite the popular virtual world. That 5 million or more have another life that they live on their computers.

I wonder if they have churches there, as they have everything else.

They do have churches, but they're not really all that great.

I'm a particpant at SecondLife, and so is my wife.

You should consider that area, Keith, since I know you're all about the non-traditional outreach. I think it'd be a good fit.

I have heard it bantered about, even people making a living there and so on. But my fear is that people do one thing in virtual words that mask their true selves. One thing about faith it must be genuine.

But I will check it out, I rarely have time these days to even do this.

My wife is trying to make money at it by writing scripts for object people actually want to buy.
She needs to get cracking so I can quit my job and live off of her for the rest of my life.

And yes... some folks are truly earning a living by selling things through SecondLife. Some don't work for someone else anymore and are making a very good living.

Interesting. I did go look at the site-- It reminds me of the thing my kids play around with at millsbury.com (Sponsored by General Mills) except on an adult level.

I wouldn't even have time to think about having a Second Life. I have trouble getting around to doing all that needs done in my first one.

I personally haven't been on in months... and the program doesn't like Vista, which is what's running on my computer...
