Listen, I already had a post deleted, but I'm going to post it again. Studies show that when homosexual men engage in AS they tear the lining in the rectum causing infection and disease - sooooo, IMO, it stands to reason that area of the body has it's own function and needs to be left to that specific function.

I have a right to express my opinion and I don't think I came at that in an undesirable way. Many people want to discuss this issue and get some clarity.

This is my clarity. I consider it physical abuse.
To be fair, vaginal tears happen every time coitus occurs. Most of the time, they are microscopic tears, but they are there.

Now, your turn.

Heroin, sin? If so, please provide scripture.

Rob 3:10 "thou shall not shoot heroin up your vein"

Happy now?

That would be one of the things I listed that are not in scripture. So would be ok for us to have a little heroin fellowship?

If was at a brothers house and he was shootin it up, would you say It's ok brother it's not in scripture?

I appreciate your honesty in stating that it's found in Rob 3:10, lol!

See, here's the difference in bad habits and sin.

All the things we don't agree with we like to make "sin", and then we realize we really don't have scriptural authority to make it sin. But, its hard to admit that, so soon we're saying "Tattoos are sin, smoking is a sin, drinking a beer is a sin, gambling is a sin, watching TV is a sin, blah blah blah".

I have no problem saying that those things are bad habits and not conducive to a CHristian walk, but the burden of proof is on YOU at this point to show me scripturally where these things have been identified as sin.

I'll give you a headstart - go check out Galatians and you'll find a great list to start with.

Paul said "All things are lawful, but not all things are expedient".

Some things are bad habits, but you can't show me that they are "sin".

Semantics, you say? I don't think so - I call it scriptural integrity.

Let me take a guess here: have you ever read a book "scandalous freedom"

So if a habit keeps you from being like Christ it's not sin?

This is an infinite conversation that could go on for weeks, and I'm getting ready for bed. Strange thread to springboard from, lol.

There are so many things that we readily accept in our lives that "keep us from being like CHrist", like anger, gossip, backbiting, judging each other, placing traditions over the Word of God, etc. that this is not a valid argument.

Sorry, but to say that "sodomy" is a sin that keeps us from being like Christ is a moot point, because as an unmarried man, Jesus did not have sexual relations (unless you believe Hollywood), and so it's an unfair comparison.

Either way, I"m off to bed.

GOod night, all.

No, but there is common sense to say it's bad.

Of course, you'll say heroin is a sin, but I highly doubt you'd say eating red meat every day is a sin - and there are some major health risks associated with that too. Oh yeah, drinking pop isn't all that healthy, either.

It's great to pick and choose, isn't it?

Whose common sense? Does God use comman sense? So you choose to determine if something is a bad habit? Not scripture? HHHMMMM

Sounds the shoe is getting on the other foot here.

You stressed having scripture for everything but it changes to common sense?
