I disagree with allowing only folks who are property owners the right to vote.
There are many hard working Americans who do not own property, who are guaranteed the right to vote-- and I am glad.
That is the America I know and love. An America where all men are created equal, regardless of their economic status, regardless of their opninions.

(2) Sen. Obama isn't promising free health care or free education. He is promising it to be more affordable, an idea needed (and attractive) to more than just the ghetto dwellers.
(3) The reason the polls are open early is to give everyone the opportunity to make the effort to vote. What happens to the man who works shift work and can not make it to the polls 4 November?
Now, thanks to politicians more acquainted with the every day struggles of many working folks, people have the opportunity to make their voice heard in this country that we all call home.
1399, Obama isnt going to make college cost go down. He is going to make it go up.
by giving people this 5K refundable tax credit for college, what will happen is, first the cost of school will shift from those going to school to other tax payers, then secondly it will put a greater demand on schools because more people will go to school which will raise the cost of a college education.
Obamas college tax credit is a shell game that takes $$$ from one group and hands it to another, provides a greater method to indoctrinate the masses in liberalism and hands off LARGE $$$ to liberal elete colleges.

But I dont understand why anyone would think it is right for someone to get to have a say in how things are done when they bring nothing to the table.
my kids dont get a vote at dinner time much less how their mom and I spend our income.
why would I want someone who can only vote to take money from my kids for themselves to have a say?

I think he is putting the number out there in order to somehow make some would be Democrat voters overconfident, so that they won't persevere the inevitable long lines when it comes time to vote.
