Agreed?
Baptism is the realization of God's provision or Christs atonement. It is the proper response to repent(turn) and be baptized. As we united with him! It is an appointed time just like God has appointed times on many other things!

He that believeth and repents shall be saved.

He that believeth not shall be damned.

does that negate repentance? No! it just give precedence to repentance! One cannot repent unless one believes. Same thing!

Without the source faith/ belief(positive response) how can one be baptized and be saved? You can't! Same with repentance! How can you not turn from the flesh and be baptized? You can't because turning from one(flesh) is to turn to Christ(baptism) You can't seek the flesh and seek Christ! One cannot have two masters!
Your example doesn't make sense.

Repentance is not negated because repentance does not follow faith. Faith occurs IN repentance. The heart returns to God from sin through faith in Christ.

Your example fails.

uh you are not in contract until you SIGN the document! You can sit there and believe what the document says and understand the terms of the document but until you come INTO agreement or are united in contract, that document means nothing!

Baptism is confession of that authority! If you ASK anything in my name (legal order) I will do it! To call upon his name is to make legal order or precedence!
Then the mute cannot enter into covenant with God?

So you are saying I can believe what God says is true and choose not to repent? Uh I think people do that all the time.

sure they can they respond to the authority of the one who invokes the name. Either the candidate or the baptizer(preacher whoever) can invoke the name. As one choosed to go down in the water AS the agreement thus they respond to the authority of HIS NAME!

You cannot biblically repent (return to God) without having the heart that is returning to God convert to faith in Christ. If conversion of heart does not take place then true repentance has not occurred.

So faith is not in the name but in the invoker of the name?

there is a difference between mental assent and faith!

The seed(WORD, GOSPEL) falls on ground! It either falls on ground that will let it grow or it won't! The ground can realize/acknowledge the seed is there and but it doesn't have to take it! Just like any christian today can know what the truth is and turn from God and not respond in faith!

LOL! Are you serious? Faith is in what is invoked and the meaning behind it! I respond to the authority of who and what I am being baptized in. If someone says I baptize you in the name of Satan are you going down in the water? Thus your agreement to the authority by which are baptized is realized by going down in the water! Thus confession by action!
