I am really proud of Lieberman for standing up for his principles when it comes to National Security. He is just about the only major Democrat national figure who did not turn out to be a yellow belly pacifist.

However Lieberman is still a dyed in the wool Democrat liberal when it comes to social issues. That dog ain't gonna hunt with the Republican base.
YEP! Excellent post, CC1! Right on the table and that's the facts!

Re: McCain's VP pick - Sarah Palin?

Especially if McCain is far behind later this summer, he could do something truly unorthodox like pick his strong supporter Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.), who was the Democrats’ vice presidential candidate back in 2000.

Party leaders don’t expect that. But McCain remains, after all, a maverick.

Not happenin'!!! Neither is Huckabee, which I declared early on in the campaign.

I'm still thinking Bobby Jindal might be the draw. We shall see.

Re: McCain's VP pick - Sarah Palin?

I saw today that Romney might be his top pick. I'm with Mike, if he picks Palin I may vote for him after all.

I just don't see him picking Romney, but Romney did pretty well and is already known. They won't be wasting time there.

I can't decide. I guess I'll have to wait.

I'm torn with them all because it must be a brilliant pick for him to win. It must be someone that is younger, smart in economics, no negative background, conservative, and patriotic.

Hmmmm, sounds like Romney, Palin or Jindal. lol
