I wont go into any more detail than I already have but i dont see the problem with the link existing unless the good folk of AFF dont want to be imbarrised by a liberal Apostolic church the way so many conservitives have.
but we all have to live with the rules and what ever Admin thinks is fine by me.
Ferd there are still some that still have family members in that church.
We just need to pray for them, we don't need to know every detail just because it was a "liberal" church.

I don't see why the thread would be taken down. It is on the world wide web, so its not like its a private matter. And anyone that does not want to read the link doesn't have to click it.

Well I just don't understand why Mark felt the need to bring it here and post the link.
There are a lot of things on the WWW that I don't think we all want to read about.

Cindy, for all the years I have posted, there has been a constant line from folk who have been abused by some old time apostolic preacher.
I have never seen a case where those folk were suppressed and i have seen the members of the board rally to the cause and stand in support for those who have been "abused"
yet when a lib is doing the abuse, all the sudden its gossip and it shouldnt be posted.
I understand your feeling about this hitting close to home. hey I suspect im as close if not closer to this than you are.
but none the less, no one on AFF has said anything wrong or out of line. I think the members of AFF know what the rules are.

Just didn't think we needed to be talking about bitter ex-UPC forums.
It is about one particular church Renda and the pastor/wife that are ex-UPC.
Apparently they started this church after they left the UPC and continued some of the things they were accused of when they were UPC back in the 80's.

As to why Mark brought it here, I would say because this is a discussion forum, and Mark does cater to discussion that is more dramatic.
There are things right here on AFF that I have no desire to read about, or discuss. I simply don't open the particular thread. So to me, as long as it is not breaking any forum rules, then I don't see any harm in it, for those that want to discuss it.

well, the bitterness isnt directed at the UPCI. the thread titile might be a bit misleading....
the UPCI really isnt even part of this.
these are folk who claim to have been abused by their pastor, his wife, and neice at a particular church..... the church left (or might have been forced out) of the UPCI in the 1980's.

Ferd I have not been around here very long, back in the day I just knew they were UPC not con or lib or whatever. It did extend further than that local church then, with accusations being flung to others. People receiving threats through the mail and on the phone. I will leave you to it. It just brings up sickening memories. Pray for my family, kiss baby Jack.
