Online Shopping
Do y'all do a lot of online shopping? I have gotten to the point that I do all my research on products online. I buy a lot of stuff online too. It's so much easier than driving to a store, dealing with crowds, waiting in line at the checkout, etc. I know shopping online can be dangerous, but I use just one credit card for those purchases. I also pay most of my bills online. Insurance, utilities, credit card payments, student loans; all get paid online. What on earth did we do before the internet? Does anyone remember?

We pay most of our bills online. As for purchasing we have only purchased one or two things online. As for things like clothing I would not purchase online.

I can't remember the last time I sent a payment for anything in the mail, and I do most of my shopping outside of grocery shopping online. Most sites have free shipping after you spend a certain amount, and you don't have to fight crowds or waste gas.

I think eventually we are going to see virtual, holographic stores, where we will be able to shop for anything, without leaving the comfort of our homes. Something kinda like what you see in the Star Trek shows, except we would log in to store A, see a holographic store we can "walk around in" to shop for our goods and services. It may not happen in my lifetime, but my grandchildren may see it come to pass.
I think it would be neat! After we log in a holographic "assistant" would help us with any questions we have, etc. Of course, we'd have to wait for our stuff to get shipped to us, but we'd save loads and loads of time.

Re: Online Shopping
I do a large majority of our shopping online. Well, almost anything except shoes. I even tried buying shoes, but ended up having to send them back because what chadwicks calls a wide width is NOT a wide width!
Some grocery items can even be purchased online. I've had dry goods shipped to my door, but only if I can find a better price in bulk than I can get by buying locally.
I just wish it were possible to shop the local grocer online and have someone deliver it. I absolutely despise going grocery shopping!

Re: Online Shopping
I do the majority of my shopping online. And I buy shoes! Shoe Station has a great site and offer good discounts. I have a pretty common size - so it is easier for me to buy online. I do go shopping - but it mostly a recreational sport with me. I love sitting at the computer- in my jammies and shopping!
