Re: The Village idioT
I have had some really good laughs reading these posts. I of course am perfect and NEVER make an idiot of myself. YEAH right.
As a child the church my parents pastored was actually attached to our house. The parking lot started out just below my bedroom window. I used to great the people as they came to church from my window every service, yep you guessed it totally without clothes on. OKAY OAKY I was VERY young.
As a young man I worked in a department store. There was a young lady that I worked with that was rather pretty and I always made an opportunity to speak to her. One day as I was leaving work she was also. I spoke and she moved away from me with a funny look on her face. I stepped forward and she stepped back again. This happened a few times and we were talking the whole time. Me totally ignorant of her trying to actually get away from me. I finally let her go her way and I head to my car and look down to stick the key in the door lock and realize my shirttail is sticking out of my unzipped pants.
Talk about feeling like an idiot.
I got more. I have many about people at church and family members.

Re: The Village idioT
OK boys and girls.... this one is on me.
I have this old work van and it has always had fuel pump problems.... replaced it twice at $800 a pop.
So for the past year it has been acting up again, but I discovered when the pedal goes soft -if I pull over immediately and change out the fuel filter it works just fine for the rest of the short trip at least.
So I have been doing this... keeping spare filters and changing them out. I have done it about 30 times. I got real good at it... about 10 minutes and back on the road. Sure you get a little gas on you - but hey, it's better than another $800 pump.
UNTILOne day I forgat to buy the replacement filter! I was stranded. I sat there for ten minutes trying to figure out what to do. Decided to try it again, and NO PROBLEM! The key was not the "fuel filter" but the ten minutes it took to let the fuel pump cool down!
Now we just pull over and laugh - arguing which one gets to "change the filter"!
What an idioT!
