I am liberal on Dress. I do not care about the Affirmation statement and how to follow dress codes because an organization wants to be defined by them.
I am moderate on the when the Acts 2:38 is applied to salvation.
I am a Con on the idea of the doctrine of the Godhead as defined in our terms as "Oneness".
I did visit it.. when you first suggested it. And of course I got a good chuckle!
The terms are relative.. and I'm actually RIGHT about something!!!
Yes, pretty much has to be fluid and relative. For example, with the ultra-cons leaving, will everything shift, and the moderates become the cons, the cons become the ultra-cons, and the cough cough liberals, become moderate???
Following Jesus Christ and being His disciple and being considered a child of God,and a true Christian is the only label I care to wear.
Funny thing about a name tag it can blow off going up,and it can burn up going down.

There they can find plenty of fault.

Now that makes my head spin!

Now the fun comes in when others define us!
You've got that right. If you believe the Bible at all, much of our society will lable you "kook fringe extreme conservative." And then to have your own brethren label you "ultra-liberal" because you don't condemn people for showing their elbows in public can lead to perplexity.
These labels can be significant however. I remember a visit from an evangelist from a "conservative" church in CA many years ago. He railed against "liberals" in the UPC and proclaimed the P.S.R. Conference to be the "premier gathering of conservative Apostolics." He then went on to denigrade "another conference" in CA that was host to a bunch of "liberals."
The labels were first used by men who wanted to call themselves "conservatives." In reality the represented a movement of radical change, the very antithesis of real conservatism. Mrs. LPW appears to be admirably tired of this division. But the history behind the causes of the division is important.
