Just to agree with N, from comments my mother made, radio was the "evil" of the day. Some preachers did preach against it. Families did gather around the radio to listen to Amos & Andy or George Burns and Gracie Allen. It may not have the same "sin" implications today, but it was a concern.

So to me there is no comparison. One was relatively clean, while the other is a cesspool of filth.
No offense, but you ought to set the channel and program filter on your cable box the way you set a filter on your computer. I've heard about a lot of filth on television, but I would have to really go and seek it out to find it.

I totally agree. To me the net is so much more dangerous. There are no rating guidelines etc.
Also I don't recall anyone's identity has been stolen by TV??
Come on people, let the spirit in you guide you in what you watch and take in...you can't go wrong with that.

I do not own a tv, thus do not have cable.

Hopefully we should all know the difference. Personally, I kind of like the spirit of the FOOD CHANNEL
