Indian Powerhouse
I just went to an amazing Bible study today at a lady's house here in Jackson. She had a woman here from India who is in her sixties probably. She spoke today and her stories were miracle after miracle after miracle. It was amazing! She just spoke so casually about confronting devils and seeing them flee just when she would say, "in the Name of Jesus, go!". She told about getting on a train and a demon-possessed man jumped up and said, "I know who you are" and jumped off the train.
Her stories were like living in the New Testament. She even had a vision about a man who was dreaming about Jesus, but he didn't know who He was. A few days later, the man showed up at her door, after traveling all the way from Saudi Arabia. She showed him the picture she had drawn of him after her vision. She asked him if he had been dreaming of a holy man and he said yes, but he didn't know who He was. She got to lead him to Jesus. He and his whole family are now Holy Ghost filled and taking the gospel into Saudi Arabia.
I want so badly to see this in America, but we are so self-sufficient. I fear that we miss out on so much of God because we don't have to depend on Him for daily bread or our very lives.

I made an observation in a leadership meeting awhile back that we, in America, don't need God.... if we lack provision, we use credit cards.... if we're sick, we go to the doctor.... if we've been hurt, we go to a psychologist.... and so on and so forth....
we have gotten to a point where we don't have to look to God, as we think we can do it all ourselves.... it ultimately boils down to a matter of self-sufficiency vs God-dependency.... as a result, the Church in America struggles with an independant spirit and submission to God and His Word....
