I question whether either is required in the New testament church.

Takes faith, doesn't it?

What shall we do? Determine what is easier, and make a law out of this, or do exactly what the New Testament teaches? I believe it will free people from law and move them to give more!

Typical pennycostal trick....can't prove it with scripture tell a personal story or two and that proves it.
I was responding to someone who said that it was about faith. Hey, if you don't want to give, then don't. I could care less if you ever get a blessing!!!!

Very good. Nothing wrong with that. He had faith. When we give out of obligation for fear of cursing, though, that is not faith.

Takes a little more than faith elder, it takes others willing to give.

Hey Danny, can you read? I'm not trying to prove anything, nor am I trying guilt tactics on anyone. This is just a bit of a sore spot with me, its people like you that thinks they have all the answers, and so to please the flesh, they look for reasons not to do something. I'm talking about giving in general, not just tithing. Get over yerself.

What makes one willing to give is FAITH. Without faith, we cannot please God, bro. And it is not faith without works, btw.

For the work of God in the many varying ways God's work is done! And the MINISTERS DO THE SAME! The ministers are not left out of this need to give, you know.
